Every building is a series of overlaps.
The surfaces you see and touch sit on top of structural load paths, within fire compartments, drawing on energy systems, and using materials that have aged or been altered. In older buildings, or complex contexts, these layers become even more tightly entangled.
What looks like one problem on the surface is often several, interacting.
Founded after the pandemic by Conor and Aisling, Immer is a small RIAl - registered practice based just off the main street in Blackrock. Conor is a registered architect and engineer with postgraduate qualifications in structural engineering, fire safety, and historic building conservation. He lectures in architectural design and building engineering in Dublin, and previously worked with design-led firms Grafton Architects and O'Donnell + Tuomey.
Aisling is an architect and interior specialist who previously worked with Oxid Architektur in Zurich.
Immer brings architecture, structure, fire, energy, conservation, interiors, and landscape together into one place, resolving complexity into thoughtful, clear advice and carefully made buildings.
For serious projects needing clear advice or careful design, contact Conor or Aisling to discuss a bespoke
approach.
